Assam Public Health Engineering Department (APHED) is the nodal department for water supply and sanitation in the rural areas of Assam. Contributing in the efforts to achieve the State goals, Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission, RGNDWM under Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India had taken up a Computerisation Project under the Plan for effective planning, monitoring and implementation of various activities under the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector. In order to accomplish the vision of e-Governance, set forth by the Government of India, the software system to be developed for PHED, Assam, for all intents and purposes, offer a complete IT solution.
